The big blues are gone, but there's plenty of small blues around.  We've had some really good nights and some slow nights, but it won't be consistent till they settle in one area.  They are bouncing from one lump to the other - hopefully settling down soon.  The fluke fishing has improved a lot in the last four days, with August being our best fluke fishing month, it should just steadily improve.

Updated 7/15/10

Blue fishing continues to be very good, there are still loads of blues out there and most nights are slaughters, we did have one night they didn't bite that great and one night that was just good fishing this week, they are six to 15 pounds, mostly 10 to 15 pound fish.

Updated 7/08/10

Well other than one night where we had only good fishing it has been a slaughter every night. It's really spectacular to see these fish chasing bait fish around the boat, it really is something to see.

Updated 7/3/10

I'm starting to sound like a broken record but loving it, Friday night was another slaughter, still 6 to 10 pound Blues. As for the fluke trips there has been more Sea Bass and Fluke moving in, still mostly shorts but the action isn't to bad.

Updated 7/2/10

Thursday night was another slaughter, the fishing could not be any better than it is right now!

Updated 7/1/10

Wednesday night was just like Saturday night, the fish just went wild. Awesome night of Blue fishing!!!!!!!!

Updated 6/30/10

The fish moved and Sunday night I just couldn't find them, Monday night the twenty minute thunder storm left me with not enough people to sail, Tuesday night we did well with still 6 to 10 pound Blues.

Updated 06/27/10

Saturday night was as good as Blue fishing can be! Still 6 to 10 pound fish.

Updated 6/26/10

Friday night was excellent, the Blues are 6 to 10 pounds.

Updated 6/25/10

Wednesday night we had problems getting them to bite early but they really bit later in the trip, Thursday night we had excellent fishing.

Updated 6/23/10

Another great night with the Blues!!!!!!! 6 to 10 pound fish.

Updated 06/22/10

We had trouble getting the Blues to bite early in the night but the second half of the night they really turned on. We did get in a little late last night but had a very good catch of Blues. As for the Fluke fishing we are still catching Sea Bass with the Fluke and some days are better than others but we haven't seen big numbers of keeper Fluke yet.

Updated 06/21/10

Seems like every night we catch different size fish, but they did bite very well again last night, 8 to 12 pound fish, they moved inshore about 5 miles and I do hope that trend continues.

Updated 06/20/10

Saturday night was another great night, good action all night, we had mixed fish from 6 to 15 pounds.

Updated 06 19/10

Friday night was incredible,  most of the fish were 10 to 15 pounds but some 6 pound Blues were mixed in, it just couldn't have been any better!!!!!!!

Updated 06/16/10

Fluke fishing has been producing some very nice size Fluke this year, and the Sea Bass seem to be moving in too finally! As for the night blues I went looking around Sunday and Monday night for some blues south of our inlet but struck out but Tuesday night was a slaughter, 10 to 15 pound fish and all limits! "Last Saturday night we had a third generation fisherman on board and he won the pool with a giant Blue Fish, he is pictured below".

Updated 06/12/10

Friday night the more experienced fisherman did better than first timers, we had a current running right into the wind, which happens to be our worst condition for chumming blues. With the right conditions the fishing will be excellent. Our fleet was spread over a 3 mile area and we all read fish and had about the same fishing, so it is a large area of Blues out there. Saturday was another good day with Fluke and Sea Bass. Anthony Mender of Pennsauken NJ won the pool with a 8 pound Fluke.

Updated 06/11/10

Today was our first day of Fluke fishing and we had a good day, the ratio of keepers was much better than last year, looks like we may have some bigger fish this year. Some 3 to 4 pound Sea Bass were also caught.

Pool winner - Chris Habingeither Burlington NJ - 5 pound Fluke

Ray Slodowski - Caught a 3 and 3 1/2lb Fluke and a 3 1/2lb Sea Bass

Updated 06/07/10

Friday night was terrible, just couldn't find them but Saturday night we had a good night, 6 to 10lb blues.

Updated 05/30/10

We didn't do well Friday night but Saturday night was a slaughter, it was as good as it gets, 10 to 15lb fish! We have been seeing these Blue fish for two weeks now and just couldn't get them to bite but they really turned on last night!! The Sea Bass fishing continues to improve, and it should be good fishing all week.

Updated 05/28/10

The sea bass fishing has been slowly improving all week, Thursday we had so much tide it was almost unfishable, but Friday was the best fishing we had so far this season.

Updated 05/16/10

Well all we got Friday night, our first Blue Fish trip of the year was wet! We caught one Blue, one Striper, and one dog shark. It was just thunder storm after thunder storm. Saturday night was just gorgeous and we had two hours of good fishing. They tapered off the last half hour but we did have a nice catch by then. High hooks had around ten fish. Nice size fish too, 6 to 8 pound average.
